Sweet Bonda


SweetBonda

It is a sweet snack made in Maida or All Purpose Flour.It is a very easy recipe.By adding badam powder to it makes it as healthy snack.

Ingredients:
  • Maida or All Purpose Flour - 1 Cup
  • Sugar - 1 Cup
  • Salt - A Pinch
  • Cooking Soda Powder - A Pinch
  • Badam Powder - 1 Tablespoon(Optional)
  • Oil - To Deep Fry
Preparation:
  • Mix All things together except oil.
  • Mix well With water like Idly/Dosa Batter.
  • Heat oil in a pan and Put the batter into oil with the help of Spoon or by using hand and fry till golden brown.
  • Serve hot or cool.
  • You can keep this two days and use.

Ragi Puttu



RAGI PUTTU

Puttu is a traditional and healthy evening snack.Mostly puttu is made with rice flour.But i tried in Ragi flour.We can make the puttu in two types.Sweet puttu and kara puttu.This post gives you sweet puttu using jaggery. Give this healthy evening snack to your kids and enjoy......:)

INGREDIENTS:

  • Ragi Flour - 1 Cup
  • Ghee - 1 Teaspoon
  • Grated Coconut - 1 Cup
  • Grated Jaggery - 1/4 Cup
  • Salt - To Taste
PREPARATION:
  • Take a pan,heat one teaspoon of ghee and add ragi flour and fry till fine aroma comes out.
  • Keep aside and leave that flour till it become cool.
  • Boil half cup of water with little salt.
  • Sprinkle the water into the ragi flour and mix well.
  • Be careful while mix water,Because the ragi flour should be wet,not as full paste.
  • After add water also the flour should  be separate.
  • After made the flour wet,steam the flour in idly plate for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • After it cooked well add grated coconut,grated jaggery and mix well.
  • If you like add cashewnut and raisins also.
  • Serve hot.

Plaintain flower Vada/ Vazhapoo Vadai





VAZHAIPOO VADAI / PLAINTAIN FLOWER VADA

Vazhaipoo vadai is very much tasty and healthy recipe.You cant stop eat this when you start eating.It is very much healthy and more of fiber content.Cleaning that flower makes some body difficult but that is very easy clean by removing centre stem in each stick.Enjoy this wonderful plaintain flower vada....:)

INGREDIENTS:

  • Plaintain flower - 1 (Big)
  • Bengal Gram - 250 Gms
  • Ginger - 1 Inch
  • Garlic - 10 Pods
  • Onion - 2 Cup(Finely Chopped)
  • Mint leaves,Coriander leaves,Curry Leaves - 1 Cup(Finely Chopped)
  • Cinnamon - 1 Stick
  • Cloves - 4
  • Saunf/ Fennel seeds - 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt - To Taste
  • Oil - To fry

PREPARATION:


  • Clean plaintain flower by removing the centre stem and finely chop it and put it in buttermilk water.
  • Soak bengal gram for one hour and grind coarsely.
  • Cook the finely chopped plaintain flower and filter it without a drop of water.
  • Grind Cinnamon,Cloves,Saunf Seeds as fine dry powder.
  • Finely Chop onion,green chilly.
  • Take a Bowl,Mix cooked plaintain flower,Grinded bengalgram,Grind masala powder,Onion,Green chilly,and finely chopped curry leaves,coriander leaves,mint leaves and required salt.
  • Mix well and make as thick vada batter.
  • Heat oil in a pan and take a ball of batter and flat it and put in hot oil and fry till golden brown.
  • Fry till golden brown and crispy.
  • Very tasty and yummy plaintain flower vada is ready.

Multi Grain KuzhiPaniyaram


Hi Friends,

Very Traditional Dish, Kuzhipaniyaram. Mostly we do this dish as sweet using Jaggery. For variation,we do as spicy.For healthy version,I did with Multi grain.Grind it smoothly and use.Enjoy this Multi Grain Kuzhipaniyaram.


Ingredients:

  • GreenGram - 1 Cup
  • Brown Channa Dhall - 1 Cup
  • Bengal Gram - 1/2 Cup
  • Toor Dhall - 1/4 Cup
  • Green Chilly - 8
  • Ginger - 1 Inch
  • Garlic - 10 Pods
  • Salt - As needed
  • Coriander Leaves,Mint Leaves - 1/2 Cup (Finely Chopped)
  • Oil - As Needed
Preparation:
  • Soak Greengram,ChannaDhall,Bengal Gram,Toor Dhall for 8 Hours.
  • Wash soaked gram and grind soaked gram with ginger,garlic,green chilly together with salt.
  • Mix finely chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves with grind batter.
  • Heat Kuzhipaniyara pan and put half teaspoon of oil to all holes.
  • The Batter should be in dosa/Idly batter consistency.
  • Pour batter into kuzhipaniyara hole in half amount in that and cover it with and cook.
  • Cook in low flame.
  • After two minutes remove lid and turn it and cook other side till golden brown.
  • Cook till Golden Brown.
  • Serve hot with coconut Chutney.

VEGTABLE ROLL

Hi Friends,

This Post gives you a Interesting and Delicious Taste of Vegetable Roll.All my friends and family like to eat this roll of my Preparation.You can do this Non-vegetarian like using Chicken or Mutton.Surely you all will enjoy with Dish.Always i remember my friends while i prepare vegetable roll.Missing them so much..


INGREDIENTS:

FOR ROLL:

  • Bread - 10
  • All Purpose Flour or Maida - 1/4 cup
  • Corn Flour - 1 Teaspoon
  • Bread Crumbs - 1 Cup
  • Salt - little
  • Oil - To Fry

FOR STUFF:

  • Onion - 1
  • Potato - 1/4 cup
  • Peas - 1/2 cup
  • Carrot - 1/4 cup
  • Beans - 1/4 cup
  • CuminSeeds - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • GreenChilly - 1
  • Salt As needed
  • GaramMasala - 1 Teaspoon
  • Pepper Powder - 1/4 Teaspoon


PREPARATION:

  • Finely Chop all the vegetables.
  • Take a pan,Heat one Tablespoon of oil,add onion and saute.
  • Add vegetables and mix well.
  • Add required salt,greeen chilly,garam masala,pepper powder.
  • Mix well and Cook well.
  

         


  • Mix Maida,CornFlour,Salt,Water and make as good batter.

       

















  • Cut the edges of the breads.
  • Press that slice with chapathi roll.
                       




















  • In that slice put some vegetable masala and roll it.
  • Stick the edges with water and cover without any open.
                     



  • Dip into Maida batter.


                     




















  • After that roll it into Bread Crumbs. 






  • Keep it in Refrigerator for one Hour.
  • Deep Fry till Golden Brown.


         
  • Serve hot with Tomato Ketchup.

MASALA VADAI

Hi Friends,

This post gives you tasty and Delicious Masala Vadai.


INGREDIENTS:

  • Bengal Gram - 1 Cup
  • Onion - 1
  • Green Chilly -2
  • Ginger - 1 inch
  • Garlic - 2 Cloves
  • Curry leaves - Few
  • Coriander leaves - 2 Teaspoon(Finely Chopped)
  • Mint Leaves - 2 Tablespoon(Finely Chopped)
  • Salt - For Taste
  • Oil - To fry
PREPARATION:
  • Soak Bengal gram for 2 hours.
  • Grind Soaked Bengal gram with Ginger and Garlic.
  • Leave one teaspoon of Soaked bengal gram without grind.
  • Finely Chop Onion,Curry leaves,Coriander leaves,Mint leaves.
  • Mix grind Bengal gram with one teaspoon soaked bengal gram and all finely chopped items with required  Salt.
  • In a pan,heat oil for deep fry,Take small amount of batter and make it round and flat and put it in hot oil and fry till golden brown.
  • When you put vadai in oil,the oil should be hot.Immediately the flame should be in mid till you get the vadai golden brown.
  • Do the same for all the batter.
  • Now,Hot and tasty Vadai is ready.

MODHAGAM

HI FRIENDS,

             Modhagam is vinayagar's favorite.Here i tell you the simple method of preparing modhagam.You can do this in your weekly pooja in your home.


INGREDIENTS:

IdlyRice - 1 cup
MoongDhall - 1/4 cup
Jeera - 1/4 teaspoon
Salt - a pinch
Sugar - 1/4 cup
Ghee - 1 teaspoon
Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup





PREPARATION:

  • Soak Idly rice for 4 hours.
  • Half cook the Moongdhall.
  • Grind the soaked rice,Not like idly batter little bit rough.
  • Heat a pan,Put ghee,it melts then add jeera,
  • Jeera spluttered add grinded rice,half cooked Moongdhall,Grated coconut,Sugar,Salt.
  • Mix well and get a good dough now.
  • Let it cool for a while.
  • Take a small ball size dough and make like modhagam as shown in the picture.
  • Make all the dough into modhagam.
  • Heat idly pan.Plates all the modhagam into idly plates.
  • Cook the modhagam in idly pan for 5 minutes.
  • Now Modhagam is ready to serve.
